An experienced chair of meetings and conferences both nationally, including for many ACF events and seminars, for events of the trust fundraisers of the Institute of Fundraisers, and internationally, including as an approved Moderator for sessions at the annual AGA of the European Foundation Centre. Individual highlights include chairing the presentation by Bishop Desmond Tutu for the City Bridge Trust and the Corporation of London. Currently I am chair of a national charitable membership association.

I lead seminars for foundation staff and for trustees on the distinct characteristics of foundations and on the implications for their governance and operations. Clients include ACF, Scottish Grantmakers, London charity law firms, and individual foundations.

I have undertaken facilitation of strategy reviews; trustee away days; and board assessment sessions.

My considerable mentoring and counselling experience includes substantial involvement in Action Learning Sets.

I have a good understanding of the motivation and management of volunteers, not least through the smooth and successful direction of six village pantomimes.
